New to the shop

I've been playing with tea-towels as I sometimes do.

Many have been given away as gifts but a couple have made it into the shop.

Pleats & Tucks

I love a pleat and a tuck.
I haven't made one of these aprons for a while so am happy that this one is done and looks so lovely.
It is sitting in the shop for now … although I may just pinch it for myself.

A not so grand re-opening

It has been a very long time since my little Ohjoh shop has been open.
We've had much bigger fish to fry over here so it has been packed away for almost a year.
Today, however, (insert drumroll) … I've popped a couple of things back in the shop.
Just baby steps as there is still frying of a few fish in these parts.
More bits and pieces will be added over the next week so watch this space.

Happy 100!!

Who would have thought we'd ever get to 100 posts ???

There were times when I didn't.

To be honest, this blog started as a way to explore and promote my little ohjoh apron/clothing business but it quickly morphed into something else.

It now tends to be about what I make and feel like making and the odd little snippets into the crazy world of ohjoh. (Oh the things I "could have", "should have" and "glad i didn't" blog about!)

It is also an amazing source of inspiration! Man, you guys are clever! From quilts to bags to crocheted collars for trees. I am always impressed, inspired and amazed! Thanks!

And if we're throwing some honesty out there, this little blog has given me a quiet sanctuary from the craziness that sometimes is life. Hmm, maybe it has helped me keep a grip on the socially acceptable side of sane ??? (Yes, they are snorts of disbelief that you can hear coming from my family!)

But enough navel gazing.... it is GIVEAWAY time!!!

Neglect

I have a growing list of things that have been neglected so I have made big effort to address a couple of them. I negelected to share my good fortune. I had a win over at Andi's and a couple of weeks ago, over a lovely morning hot choc & cake I came into the possession of these little lovelies. Aren't they wonderful. I have a plan for one of them already ... I'll keep you posted.

I have been neglecting my shop for ...umm... most of the year. Today I listed a couple of newbies.

I have also negelected myself. A trip to the beautician yesterday and I now feel all womanly again (as opposed to masculine neanderthal) but perhaps I should have neglected to share that.

I love a tablecloth

There, I've said it!

Not everyday but somedays they are just the thing.

I love that at my house they're more than just a tablecloth.

They're kid's cubby houses inside on a wet day.

They're funky covers to hide the wet washing, hanging to dry over the heating ducts in winter.

They're ways to create a special family dinner in an instant.

They're bright, smiley fun.

Maybe other people like them too, so I've popped these in the shop.

Going a bit dotty

Yes I am going a bit dotty (I'm sure that's not a surprise to some!)

I love this fabric and have purchased a bucket load.

Other than lovely little spotty aprons for kiddies, it makes an excellent tablecloth (oh how I love them .... sad but true!)

This is a table cloth for my sister's house warming present pretending to be wrapping paper!

Inside is a platter (can't have too many, can you ??) and heaps of plastic plates and cups as their 1st baby will be joining us in a couple of weeks - can't wait!!!!!!

Hmm maybe a spotty cot quilt .....

Look for spotty stuff in the ohjoh shop (when I finish them and get organised!!!) or at the next market (Mulgrave Makers Market 27th March)
